Marty Perry returns to Bridgewater College for his third season asthe head coach for the men's and women's tennis programs.

In each of his first two seasons at Bridgewater, Perry has ledthe men's program to the ODAC championship final where the Eagleslost each time to perenniel power Washington and Lee. In his firsttwo seasons at the helm, the men's team has a 27-14 record in dualmatches.

Perry's 2012-13 team was ranked as high as No. 14 in the ITASouth Atlantic Region.

On August 16, 2011, Perry was named head coach of the Eaglesafter a very successful stint as the head coach at the Universityof Chicago. A three-time NCAA Division III National Coach of theYear recipient, Perry spent eight-plus years as the headmen’s and women’s coach for the Maroons.

Perry brings a laundry list of accolades to Bridgewater,including being named the Wilson/Intercollegiate Tennis Association(ITA) Division III Women’s Tennis National Coach of the Yearin 2009 and 2010 and being named the National Coach of the Year onthe men’s side by the college tennis governing body this pastseason.

He led the men’s team to an unbelievable turnaround duringhis first season in "The Windy City." Following a 7-16 campaign in2003-04, under Perry’s tutelage, the Maroons improved by 11wins to an 18-9 overall mark in 2004-05 and earned theprogram’s first ever NCAA tournament berth.

Overall, Perry coached 15 All-Americans during his time at theUniversity of Chicago and turned in the #3 recruiting class in thenation in 2010.

During the last two years, Perry has been the director of theMaroon Tennis Academy in Chicago where he has implemented anddirected adult and junior tennis programs in the Windy City inconjunction with the University of Chicago athletic department.

Prior to his time with the Maroons, Perry was the headmen’s and women’s tennis coach for one year at DivisionI Colgate University. During his lone season with the Raiders, hecoached the men’s and women’s teams to winning recordsand earned wins over Patriot League rivals American, Bucknell,Lehigh and Lafayette. On the men’s side, Perry’s squaddefeated then-Big East foe Boston College.

Perry opened his collegiate coaching career with a nearlyfour-year stint at the College of William & Mary as anassistant on the men’s team. During his time with the Pride,Perry assisted with the day-to-day operation of a William &Mary squad that was consistently in the top 50 of Division Imen’s tennis. In 1999 and 2000, Perry served as the assistantdirector of the ITA Summer National Championships inWilliamsburg.

Aside from his collegiate coaching acumen, Perry has been anactive member with Nike Tennis Camps, boasting nine years ofexperience with the camps at William and Mary and the University ofMinnesota.

Perry earned his Professional Tennis Registry professionalrating in 1994 and completed the USTA High Performance program inJanuary of 2006 in Boca Raton, Fla.

Perry received his bachelor of arts in history from ClevelandState University in 1998.
