Bridgewater College

Steve Cox has worked with the Bridgewater College sports information/media relations office since 2000.

He is currently the primary contact for baseball, men's and women's basketball, men's and women's soccer, men's and women's tennis and equestrian.

He directed media coverage for the 2001 football team that went to the Stagg Bowl and finished as national runners-up, as well as the 2003 national semifinalist football squad and the 2014 NCAA regional finalist baseball team.

Before coming to Bridgewater, Cox was the sports editor of the Staunton Daily News Leader for 10 years from 1990 to 2000.

He is also the general manager of the Staunton Braves of the Valley Baseball League. Staunton won the 2015 South Division pennant and was one win away from the league championship.

Cox graduated from Bridgewater College in 1981 with a degree in health and physical education.
