Virginia Wesleyan jumped out to a 12-0 lead Wednesday and held off the Bridgewater College Eagles, 63-56, in ODAC women's basketball action.

Jordan Burkholder led the Eagles with 16 points and Jessica Timberlake added 13.

The Eagles, now 2-3 overall and 0-2 in the ODAC, are off until after the holidays.
