Eagles pull away from Hollins, 72-33

Bridgewater College won its second straight game as the Eagles defeated Hollins University, 72-33, Friday at Nininger Hall.

All 14 Bridgewater players hit the scoring column. Jordan Burkholder was the lone BC player in double figures with 12 points. Kristin Bosserman added nine while five players – Bianca Booker, Jennifer Saunders, Jessica Timberlake, Lacey Barnett and Emileigh Lambert – scored six points each.

The Eagles finished the night with 22 steals with Burkholder leading the way with five. Bridgewater owned a 39-32 edge on the boards with Lambert pulling down a team-high seven rebounds.

Emily Long paced Hollins with 12 points and six rebounds.

Bridgewater is now 4-5 overall and 2-3 in the ODAC. Hollins is still winless at 0-10 and 0-6 in the conference.
