Box Score The Bridgewater College Eagles finished off their long weekend
road trip with their second straight victory by defeating Guilford,
77-68, Saturday.
The Eagles trailed by five with just less than nine minutes left in
the second half, but an 11-0 run put the Eagles out front to stay.
Buckets by Bianca Booker and Jordan Burkholder pulled BC to within
one and a layup by Jessica Timberlake gave the Eagles the lead.
Rebecca Henderson added an inside hoop before Jennifer Saunders
capped the run with a 3-pointer, giving the Eagles a 66-60 lead
with five minutes left.
Down the stretch, the Eagles made 11-of-12 foul shots to maintain
the upper hand.
Burkholder led four players in double figures with 24 points.
Saunders scored 13 while Henderson and Kristin Bosserman finished
with 10 each. Jasmine Wood led the Quakers with 15 points.
Bridgewater is now 7-6 overall and 5-4 in the ODAC. The Quakers
drop to 9-5, 5-5 in the ODAC.
