Box Score Bridgewater College pulled away in the second half Wednesday
night to defeat Randolph College, 67-33, in ODAC women's
basketball action.
With the victory, the Eagles improved to 3-5 overall and 1-3 in the
ODAC. Randolph dropped to 1-8 overall and 0-6 in the
conference.
The Eagles overcame a poor-shooting first half and led 29-15 at the
break. Bridgewater made just 14-of-45 shots in the first half, but
the Eagles held the Wildcats to just 22.7 percent from the floor on
5-of-22 shooting.
Bridgewater shot much better in the second half as the Eagles hit
15-of-31 shots for 48.4 percent.
Jordan Burkholder led the Eagles with 14 points. She also had four
rebounds, three assists and five steals. Kristin Bosserman had her
third straight game in double figures with 13 points and Bianca
Booker hit double digits for the first time in her career with 12.
Rebecca Henderson grabbed eight rebounds to lead the Eagles to a
58-40 advantage on the boards.
Katie Rechnitzer paced Randolph with 14 points and Lindsay Cross
pulled down 12 rebounds.
Bridgewater is back in action Friday night when the Eagles host
Hollins University at 7 p.m.
