Bridgewater College earned its first ODAC victory of the year defeating the Emory and Henry College Wasps, 1-0, Saturday afternoon.

Junior Kathy Bundrick scored the winning goal at the 69:53 mark to give the Eagles the edge and they proceeded to keep the Wasps at bay over the final 20 minutes to earn the victory.

The Eagles outshot the Wasps 14-4 and BC goalkeeper Shauna Manovich earned the shutout while recording one save.

The Eagles are now 3-4-1 overall and 1-1 in the ODAC while the Wasps drop to 7-2 overall and 1-1 in the ODAC.

The Eagles return to action Tuesday when they travel to Roanoke for a ODAC contest.
