Box Score BRIDGEWATER, Va. - The fourth-ranked
Randolph-Macon Yellow Jackets opened up an 18-point lead in the
first half and defeated Bridgewater College, 74-53, Monday night in
ODAC basketball action at Nininger Hall.
After trailing 34-21 at the half, the Eagles made one strong run
at the Yellow Jackets early in the second half.
The Eagles outscored Randolph-Macon 12-2 in the first 4:11 of
the second half to cut the margin to three points. Dominic Trawick
hit a pair of three-pointers and 1-of-2 at the foul line to cap the
BC run.
Randolph-Macon answered the Bridgewater run with a 7-0 spurt to
push the margin back to double-figures, 43-33.
Two free throws by Trawick made the score 52-41 with 9:39 left
in the game, but the Yellow Jackets scored the next six points to
open up a 17-point lead.
Jordan Brown led the Yellow Jackets with 22 points and Adam
Desgain added 17 off the bench. R-MC held a 47-35 advantage on the
boards, led by Calvin Croskey's 11 rebounds.
Jake Johnson paced the Bridgewater attack with 19 points and
Trawick scored 12.
Randolph-Macon is now 11-0 overall and 3-0 in the ODAC while the
Eagles fall to 3-7 overall and 1-3 in the conference.
