BRIDGEWATER, Va. - Erin Cartwright scored four
goals and added three assists Wednesday afternoon in Bridgewater's
20-2 victory over Hollins University in the Eagles final home
contest of the season.
The Eagles shut out Hollins in the first half, taking an 11-0
lead at the break. Goals by Caitlin Costello, Kate Moulton, Mary
Robinson, Cartwright and Leslie Crawford in the first five minutes
of play gave the Eagles the early lead.
Sarah Bursey finished with three goals for the Eagles and
Elizabeth Sullivan added two goals and two assists. Costello,
Crawford, Moulton and Noelle Najjar added two goals each to the
attack while Costello and Crawford also added one assist each.
Bach and Robinson each scored a goal and each dished out a pair
of assists. Aili Knapp rounded out the scoring with one goal and
one assist.
The Eagles, now 10-6 overall and 2-7 in the conference, close
out their regular season Saturday when they travel to Lynchburg
College.
Goalkeeper Colleen Schwind finished the contest with three
saves.
