Box Score 2 WASHINGTON D.C. - The Bridgewater College volleyball teams concludes their season with a split decision at the Catholic University of America Tri-Match, falling to the host Cardinals 3-0 before defeating Lancaster Bible College, 3-0.
In the match against Catholic, the Cardinals defeated the Eagles 25-14, 25-16, 25-19. Megann Grimes led the team with nine kills with Abby Mills chipping in six. Mills also led the defense for the Eagles, collecting 16 digs while Nikki Snyder added 13 digs. Snyder also recorded three service aces for the match. Shannon Skellchock dished out 18 assists.
Maria Juelle led the Cardinals with 14 kills while Michelle Bouchard led the defense with 19 digs. Michelle Seals recorded 31 assists.
The Eagles came back in their final match of the day for a 3-0 victory over Lancaster Bible where Abby Mills pounded out 18 kills while Grimes helped out by adding 14 kills for her own and recorded three service aces. Chelsea Owensby led the defense with 18 digs with Skellchock adding seven. Skellchock notched 37 assists for the match.
Lancaster Bible was led by Katie Coomber with 12 kills. Grace Scheurman led the defense with 21 digs. Hannah Derr and Coomber added 20 digs apiece while Derr finished the match with 26 assists.
Bridgewater concluded its 2014-15 season with a 9-20 overeall record and a 4-7 record in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference.
