CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - The Bridgewater College men's basketball team came up just short at Wilson College, falling to the Phoenix 78-69 before beginning ODAC play.

How It Happened

• Neither team took more than a three-point edge in the first half until the Phoenix went up 24-19 with four minutes remaining. The spread was short-lived as layups from Rashod Smith and Kellen Hodge made it 23-24 less than a minute later
• Wilson entered the half up 33-28 after scoring five points in the final 30 seconds of play. Bridgewater ran a balanced offense in the first as Smith, Matt Ciccone and Mikey Ayala all registered five points with Smith adding four assists. Alec Topper and Andy Pack each had four rebounds in the first frame
• The home team came out strong to start the second, pulling away early for a 42-33 advantage four minutes into the half
• Pack and Smith carried the offensive load in the second half, scoring 13 and 12 respectively, but it was not enough to catch the Phoenix
