LYNCHBURG, Va. - The Bridgewater College women's basketball team dropped their first ODAC contest of the season to Randolph 59-46 in Lynchburg.

How It Happened

• Both teams began the contest with a strong defensive effort as the WildCats led Bridgewater 10-8 after the first
• The Eagles struggled to take care of the ball, committing 22 turnovers in the first frame to enter the half down 31-22
• Even with a valiant effort of shooting 50% from three-point range, Bridgewater was unable to close the gap in the third needing a big fourth quarter
• Bridgewater outscored Randolph 8-5 in the fourth, but was not able to produce enough offense to complete the comeback

Match Notes

• Erika Nettles had a team-high ten points and five rebounds
• Melanie Pick had a career-high and game-high eleven rebounds
• Mary Ruth Shifflett posted nine points and three steals while Julia Williams contributed eight points and two assists
