Box Score ASHALND, Va. - Randolph-Macon jumped out to a 20-point, 29-9. lead in the first nine minutes of the game and the top-ranked Yellow Jackets went on to defeat Bridgewater College, 99-68. Wednesday evening in ODAC action.
The Eagles, coming off a two-week layoff due to CoVid protocols, had just eight players available for the the contest.
Zach Hatter came off the bench and led the Eagles with a season-high 25 points. Hatter hit 8-of-16 shots from the floor and 7-of-8 from the free throw line. David Oliveras added 13 points for the Eagles.
Josh Talbert scored 19 points to lead five Yellow Jackets in double figures. The Yellow Jackets had an all-around hot-shooting night. Macon hit 37-of-67 shots from the floor for 55.2 percent and from 3-point range the Jackets made 12-of-25 shots for 48.0 percent. They also made 13-of-16 foul shots for 81.3 percent.
Bridgewater, now 24 overall and 2-2 in conference play will wrap up the regular season on Saturday with a trip to Roanoke College. Tip-off is set for 2:00 p.m.
