Box Score BRIDGEWATER, Va. - The Bridgewater College field hockey team dropped a home contest to St. Mary's (Md.) 2-0 on Wednesday night.
The Seahawks scored just over a minute into the game off a penalty corner and added their second tally just over four minutes into the second half.
Bridgewater's best chance came on an Emily Tyler shot off a penalty corner sent in by Taylor Wood that was narrowly saved by the Seahawks goalie. Meredyth Rankin was there for the rebound shot but could not get it past the defense/
Brooke Hamm made seven saves in goal for the Eagles.
Bridgewater, now 3-6 on the year, will look to rebound this Saturday when they travel to Virginia Wesleyan for their first ODAC competition of the season.
