BRIDGEWATER, Va. - The Bridgewater College men's basketball team lost to Hampden-Sydney in ODAC competition 70-50 on Saturday in Nininger Hall.

How It Happened

• The Eagles and Tigers played possession for possession in the first half as the Tigers led 24-22 with just over six minutes to go
• Hampden-Sydney pulled away after going on a 14-5 run to close the half. Zach Hatter and Aaron Oates both had ten first half points for Bridgewater while Oates also added seven rebounds in the frame
• The Bridgewater offense struggled to produce in the second half, going five-for-22 from the field
• Rashod Smith added 11 points in the second half but it was not enough to overtake the visitors

Match Notes

• Oates had a game high 16 points to go with eight rebounds and seven steals
• Smith totaled 15 points with three rebounds and three assists 
• Bridgewater earned 18 points off of 19 Tiger turnovers
