WINCHESTER, Va. - The Bridgewater College women's basketball team entered the second half tied with Shenandoah, but ultimate could not pull away from the Hornets falling on the road 64-56.

How It Happened

• Shenandoah jumped out to an early 11-4 lead to start the contest until a driving layup from Diamond Huskey and a Rosemary Pierson three made it 11-9 with three minutes to go in the half. The Hornets would score the only other points in the frame on freethrows the enter the second quarter up 13-9
• The Eagles had their best offense quarter in the second, scoring 20 points to tie the game heading into the locker room at 29-29. Bridgewater made three three pointers as six Eagles contributed buckets in the quarter
• Bridgewater struggled in the third quarter, going 2-for-13 from the field to enter the fourth down by four at 42-38
• The home team came out scoring first in the final quarter as the deficit was too much for the Eagles to make up down the stretch

Match Notes

• Erika Nettles led Bridgewater with 13 points, eight rebounds and two steals
• Mary Ruth Shifflett posted ten points with three assists while India Dailey added eight points
