RADFORD, Va. – The Bridgewater men's basketball team took on Div. I Radford in an exhibition game on Monday night.

How It Happened
- The Highlanders opened the game on a 5-0 run before Alec Topper knocked down a jumper to put the Eagles on the board. BC put together a 6-0 run of their own to take the lead 6-5 in the early stages after a Mikey Ayala basket.
- Radford's defense would take over from that point forward outscoring BC 40-14 down the stretch in the first half to take a 45-20 lead into the half.
- The Highlanders opened the half with back-to-back three-pointers from Kenyon Giles before a string of offensive rebounds would lead to a Bridgewater bucket as Topper found nylon getting BC on the board in the second frame.
- The Eagles put together a 7-0 run midway through the half sparked by a Khalil Ward jumper from beyond the arc assisted by Matt Ciccone. Connor Ballou sank a layup and Ward capped it off in style with a dunk.
- In the closing seconds Preston Hearn drained a three-pointer for the Eagles after Keiman Dillon found the freshman on the wing.
Match Notes
- Topper led Bridgewater with 10 points and four rebounds. Ward also added nine for the Eagles.
- Shaquan Jules and Bryan Antoine led the offensive attack for RU with 16 points each. Onyebuchi Ezeakudo also pitched in 15 from the bench.
- Joseph Crenshaw led the Eagles in assists with three.
- BC shot 38.3% from the field and 25% from long range. the Highlanders knocked down an impressive 55.2% from the field.
- The Eagles saw production from 10 different players on the night and had 25 points from freshmen alone.
