SALEM, Va. – The No. 7 Bridgewater College women's basketball team fell to the No. 2 Randolph-Macon Yellow Jackets in the quarterfinal round of the ODAC Tournament.

How It Happened

• Both teams started strong as the contest was even at 6-6 after four minutes of play. From there, the Yellow Jackets held the Eagles to just one basketball for the remainder of the quarter to enter the second frame down 17-8
• The Eagles shot 29.4% from the field in the second quarter as both teams struggled from behind the arc, making a combined two threes in the frame on a combined ten attempts
• Down 32-19 at the half, Erika Nettles scored five points in third quarter as Bridgewater outscored Randolph-Macon 14-13 while also improving their field goal percentage to 55.6% while holding R-MC 27.8%. Bridgewater cut the deficit to nine on a Nettles jumper with three minutes to go in the third quarter at 40-31, the smallest lead for the Yellow Jackets since the first quarter
• Jaden Alsberry scored seven points in the final quarter of action but it was not enough to catch the Yellow Jackets

Match Notes

• Alsberry had a game high 15 points and six rebounds while Nettles posted a matching nine points and nine rebounds in her final collegiate game
• Julia Williams contributed seven points and a career high five steals while Melanie Pick also posted seven points to go with four boards
• R-MC outrebounded the Eagles 43-33 and dished out 15 assists compared to the Eagles six
