ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. -- The Bridgewater College football team earned a 48-7 victory on the road at N.C. Wesleyan on Saturday.
The Eagles move to 3-0 to start the season for the first time since 2019 and have now scored 135 points through the first three games of the season, which is an average of 45 points per game.
Freddie Watkins led the way with two receiving touchdowns, while
Tyler Gilliam also added a receiving score, as well. Reigning ODAC Offensive Player of the Week
Malcolm Anderson scored another rushing touchdown, while
Albert Mensah and
Kennedy Fauntleroy each found paydirt on the ground, too.
Defensively,
Noah Hines grabbed another interception, while the defense combined to force five fumbles with four of them being recovered.
Val West,
Daniel Santos,
Preston Turner,
Aaron Moore and Kameron Bryant all forcing the fumbles.Â
