ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Adalia Coleman and
Kyle Clanton of the Bridgewater College track and field team wrapped up the second day of championship competition at the Polisseni Track & Field Complex.
Coleman, a sprinter from Warrenton, Virginia, posted a qualifying time of 11.80 seconds in the 100m prelims, winning her heat and finishing fifth on the overall leaderboard securing her spot in the finals. This marks the second event that Coleman has reached the final eight for as she qualified for the 200m finals on day one of competition.
Clanton, an Edinburg, Virginia native, finished fifth overall in his heat for the 100m prelims a time of 10.60 seconds. Clanton's time tied for 11
th on the leaderboard as he just missed qualifying for the finals by 0.08 seconds.
Coleman and
Peter Fulton will return to action tomorrow for day three of the Outdoor National Championships. Coleman will compete in the 100m finals starting at 2:40 P.M. and the 200m finals starting at 3:50 P.M. Fulton will compete in the hammer throw starting at 1 P.M.
