LOGAN TOWNSHIP, N.J. - Bridgewater College women's cross country shined at the Rowan Inter-Regional Border Battle with record-breaking performances. 

In the field of 31 teams, 16 teams were ranked regionally in the top 10 along with Bridgewater, as they entered the competition with the No. 6 ranking in the south region.  

Notes 

• Graduate student Mackenzie Young finished as the top finisher for the Eagles at Gloucester County DREAM Park. In the women's 6k race, Young placed sixth among 260 finishers and set a new personal best, running a time of 21:47.0. That would mark Young with the third-best all-time record in program history. 

• Following up would be senior Emily Smeds, taking 10th place and blazing with a 21:51.8 time. That also would adjust the all-time performances list in the 6k as Smeds moved to fifth best all-time in program history. 

• Additionally, freshman Taylor Myers stayed closely behind placing 11th with a personal best clocking a 21:53.3 time. That marked Myers sixth all-time in program history. 

• Three Bridgewater runners ran a sub-22-minute 6k making that the first time in program history three runners earned that feat. 

• Five runners broke personal records including freshman Paige Hiserman (24:53.5) and senior Molly Williamson (25:47.5).

The Eagles are back in action on Saturday, Nov. 2 at the ODAC Cross Country Championships in Salem, Va. The start time is 10 a.m.
