YORK, Pa. - Bridgewater College women's swimming totaled 962 points with a first-place finish at Spartan Splash Invitational at York Natatorium Sunday.
In the final day at the three-day meet among four other schools, the women had 17 individuals qualify for the finals in the night session.
Junior Grace Warren won the 1650 freestyle with a new team record of 17:44.56. Beatriz Macario Molina took 4th (19:15.12), and Kinley Woodward placed 6th (19:33.09).
The women swept the 200 backstroke. Lexi Roberts would be 1st (2:15.29), Anabelle Dragan took 2nd (2:16.74), and Mia Flory finished 3rd (2:21.12).
Senior Rory Cantwell won the 100 freestyle in a personal best time of 54.09, as Eve Umberger placed 6th (55.31), and Whitney Speeks would be 7th (55.97).
Peyton Lawrence also performed well at the meet as the sophomore set a new program record of 2:30.01 in the 200 backstroke, placing second in the event. Melia Ross hit the board at 4th (2:32.92), and Gracen Kelly finished 10th (3:05.88).
The women finished out the day with a second-place result in the 400 freestyle relay with McKenna Curry, Warren, Umberger, and Cantwell clocking a time of 3:41.27.
