Women's Soccer Heading Back to NCAA Tournament

BRIDGEWATER, Va. - The Bridgewater College women's soccer team has been selected to the 2025 NCAA Div. III Tournament and will face Swarthmore in the opening round in Cleveland, Ohio, on Saturday.

The Eagles earned an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament for just the second time in program history and the first time since 2018. BC will take on a familiar opponent in Swarthmore on Saturday at 8 p.m. hosted by Case Western Reserve.

Bridgewater has faced Swarthmore two times in program history, with meetings in 2022 and 2023. The Garnet won both meetings, but the latter saw BC overcome a two-goal deficit to tie the game with under 10 minutes to play. Swarthmore was able to take the lead in the closing minutes to secure the 3-2 victory on its home turf.

Saturday night's contest will take place at DiSanto Field in Cleveland, just off of US Route 20. The opening weekend pod will feature the host No. 6 Case Western taking on Rose-Hulman at 5 p.m. Saturday, followed by the Eagles clash with No. 13 Swarthmore 40 minutes after the conclusion of Saturday's opener (approximately 8 p.m.). The winner of the two games will battle on Sunday at 7:30 p.m. for a chance to make the final 16.

Tickets are $6 for General Admission, $3 for senior citizens and students (with a valid ID) and $2 for children ages 3-12. There will be no pre-sale for tickets, and they can be purchased upon entry to the stadium in Cleveland. This is a cashless event; no cash will be accepted for entry or merchandise.

Fans can park at the Lot 46 parking deck, located directly behind the stadium. Parking in the garage is $7 per car.
