FOREST, Va. - Freshman runner Olivia Morra won the ODAC rookie of the year award, announced by the league office Thursday afternoon.

Morra had a season filled with spectacular performances, starting with the Eagle Cross Country Challenge. The freshman led the race from start to finish, earning her first of two ODAC runner of the week awards this season. 

In the first full-distance race of her career at the CNU Invitational, Morra clocked a 24:20.52, good for a 19th place finish. 

Morra earned her second runner of the week award after taking the crown at the Eagles' second home meet of the season. Morra once again led the event from start to finish. 

Morra's best time of the season came at the Paul Short Run, where she recorded a 22:19.5 in the women's 6k, the ninth best time in program history.  

Morra finished third in the ODAC championship meet, hosted by Bridgewater. She earned rookie of the year honors. Morra finished 15th in the NCAA South Regional Championships to earn All-Region honors.  

Bridgewater runners have now won the last two ODAC rookie of the year honors.
