Brianna Curro and
Laura Narby continued their scoring surge with two goals apiece as the Bridgewater College women's soccer team defeated Sweet Briar 7-0 Saturday afternoon. Curro followed her hat trick against Hollins with another two-goal performance, giving her five goals over the last two matches. Narby recorded two goals and an assist for the second consecutive game as the Eagles extended their shutout streak to four matches.

How It Happened
- The Eagles attacked from the opening minutes, forcing four saves from Sweet Briar goalkeeper Kylee Nickerson in the first seven minutes. CJ Sipling, Maryn Harris, Curro and Narby each put an attempt on target before Curro broke through in the 11th minute off an assist from Sipling.
- Bridgewater kept Nickerson busy as Cassandra Villafan put four shots on goal between the 16th and 19th minutes. Curro doubled the lead with an unassisted goal in the 21st minute, securing her second consecutive multigoal game. Just 1:57 later, Narby joined the scoring off assists from Villafan and Sophia Phillips to make it 3-0.
- The Eagles continued generating chances throughout the remainder of the half. Elle Turner, Sarah Farally and Grace Minton forced additional saves, while Bridgewater's defense held Sweet Briar without a shot. BC entered halftime with a 35-0 advantage in shots and all seven corner kicks.
- Narby picked up where she left off after the break, scoring her second goal in the 49th minute to extend the lead to 4-0. She then set up Olivia Marcello in the 57th minute, adding an assist to another productive afternoon. Curro continued searching for a third goal, forcing saves in the 56th and 59th minutes.
- Sweet Briar recorded its first shot in the 67th minute and put its lone attempt on target in the 72nd, when Taylor Stiegler denied Yadira Castrejon. Bridgewater answered with its sixth goal in the 74th minute as Sipling finished off an assist from Turner.
- Kylie Denton struck the right post in the 80th minute before Sipling capped the scoring in the 82nd off Villafan's second assist. Hannah England forced two late saves as the Eagles finished with 56 shots and preserved the shutout.
Match Notes
- Curro and Narby combined for nine goals over the past two matches. Sipling also scored twice for the second consecutive game and added an assist, while Turner led BC with 11 shots. Rylee Asiello and Stiegler each played 45 minutes in the combined shutout.
- Nickerson recorded 17 saves for Sweet Briar, while Arianna Nguyen added four and Madeline Shrader made two. Emily Michel led the Vixens with two shots.
- Bridgewater finished with a 56-5 advantage in shots, a 30-1 edge in shots on goal and all 13 corner kicks. The Eagles have outscored their last two opponents 19-0 and remained unbeaten in conference play.
