BRIDGEWATER, Va. - The Bridgewater College women's tennis team fell to Guilford 7-0 on Saturdayafternoon.
The Quakers opened by sweeping doubles action to take the doubles point. BC's best battle came at the top spot as
Sarah Slagle and
Regan Witt fell in a close 4-6 match.Â
Guilford continued to roll in singles action, not dropping a game at the top two spots. The bottom third of the ladder was BC's strength, despite the scoreline.
Carson Cale raced out to an early lead in the opening set before falling 5-7, 1-6 at the No. 5 spot.
Kalin Rice was the last match on court as she battled on the way to a 2-6, 2-6 loss in a lengthy match.
Bridgewater is back in action on Thursday at Averett.
