DANVILLE, Va. - The Bridgewater College Women's Tennis team fell at Averett 0-7 on Thursday afternoon.
Averett opened the match by sweeping doubles action to claim the doubles point.
AU continued to roll in singles play as the Cougars picked up quick wins at No. 2, No. 3, and No. 4 to clinch the team win. BC put up good fights across the board, but the best came at the top and bottom of the ladder.
Sarah Slagle fell 1-6, 1-6 in a tough match at the top spot, while
Carson Cale and
Aylin Humpherys each got on the board as they fell 1-6, 0-6 at the No. 5 and No. 6 spots.Â
The Eagles are back ina ction on Saturday at Roanoke.Â
