SALEM, Va. - The Bridgewater College women's tennis team fell to Roanoke 6-1 on Saturday as
Sarah Slagle picked uo the lone BC point at the top spot.
Roanoke took the doubles point by sweeping the three matches. Slagle and
Regan Witt battled well for BC at the top spot before narrowly falling 4-6. The team of
Aylin Humpherys and Kalin RIce also put up a good fight before falling 3-6 at No. 3.
Slagle dominated form wire-to-wire at the top spot as she rolled to a 6-2, 6-2 victory at the top spot.
Macy Harris nearly got BC its second point in singles action before narrowly falling 4-6, 3-6 at the No. 4 spot.
Carson Cale met the same defeat at a 3-6, 4-6 scoreline at No. 5.
Bridgewater is back in action on March 25 as they take on Neumann and Immaculata.Â
