BRIDGEWATER, Va. - The Bridgewater College men's tennis team fell to Lynchburg 0-7 on Thursday afternoon.
The Hornets opened the match by sweeping doubles action to take the doubles point. BC's best fight came at No. 3 as
Steven Perry and
Coree Nicely fell 3-6.Â
Lynchburg continued to roll in singles play. The visitors picked up quick wins at No. 2, No. 3 and No. 4 to secure the team win, but matches were still being played.
Corey Beshoar fell 0-6, 1-6 at the No. 1 spot, despite winning nearly a third of the points in the match. Nicely roared out to a fast start at No. 6, but fell 3-6, 0-6.
Eli Entsminger did not start the same way as his former high school teammate, but a surge late saw him fall 2-6, 3-6.
The Eagles are back in action on Saturday at Roanoke.Â
