BRIDGEWATER, Va. - The Bridgewater College baseball team has been slotted at No. 13 in the latest D3baseball.com Top-25 national poll in the fifth week of the rankings this season announced on Tuesday.
The Eagles went 2-1 last week following a pair of wins against Va. Wesleyan at home and a loss to Washington & Lee on the road. This season, Bridgewater stands at 17-3 overall and 2-3 in conference play.
Entering the new week, the Eagles have meetings with No. 6 ranked Shenandoah on the road today, March 24, No. 19 ranked Christopher Newport at home on Wednesday, March 25, and a doubleheader with Averett on the road on Saturday, March 28.
Bryce Suters has continued to display his hot bat with a .444 batting average and a .535 on-base percentage on 32 hits, 29 RBIs, and four home runs.
On the mound, Cam Nuckols has brought top-notch performances leading the Eagles with a 2.38 ERA, four wins, and 16 strikeouts.
The Eagles will take on Shenandoah at 3 p.m. today, March 24 on the road.
