IMMACULATA, Pa. - The Bridgewater men's tennis team rolled to a pair of victories over Immaculata and Neumann on Wednesday.
BC opened against Immaculata, and won the doubles point with a sweep.
Eli Entsminger and
Corey Beshoar rolled to a 6-2 victory at the top spot, while
Logan Garner and
Levi Waidelich picked up a victory at No. 2 by the same scoreline.
Coree Nicely and
Steven Perry rounded out the sweep with a 7-5 victory at No. 3.
Beshoar opened sing.es play by picking up a 6-3, 6-1 win at the top spot. Entsminger brought BC one step closer with a 62, 6-0 in at No. 4 and Nicely clinched the team win with a 6-2, 6-3 win at No. 6. Waidelich added some insurance with a 6-2, 6-1 win at No. 5 to seal a 5-2 team score.
The Eagles opened the match at Neumann with the same tone, claiming the doubles point. Entsminger and Beshoar battled to a 6-4 victory at the top spot, while Waidelich and Garner sealed the deal with a 6-4 win at No. 2.
Beshoar rolled at the top spot in singles play with a 6-0, 6-1 victory. BC's next point came at No. 6 as Waidelich cruised to a 6-1, 6-0 victory and Entsminger sealed the deal with a 6-2, 6-1 win. At No. 4., Perry added to the team score with a 7-6(3), 6-3Â victory at No. 3 on the way to a 5-2 team victory.
The Eagles are back in action on April 7 at Hampden-Sydney.
