Macy Harris locked up a 4-3 victory for the Bridgewater College women's tennis team over Johnson and Wales on Thursday evening.
Harris and
Kira Doyne opened the match with a commanding win at No. 2 doubles, but the Wildcats picked up a win at No. 3 to send the battle for the doubles point to the top spot. JWU locked it up with a 6-4 win at No. 1.
Behind 1-0, BC quickly regrouped.
Regan Witt got the Eagles on the board first with a 6-3, 6-2 at No. 3 and Doyne followed with a 6-1, 7-5 win at No. 2.
Carson Cale rolled at the No. 5 spot to the tune of a 6-0, 6-1 victory to bring BC to a 3-1 lead.
Kalin Rice was locked in a battle at No. 6 that went the distance, meanwhile, it was Harris securing the win on court five. Harris battled her way to a 6-3, 6-2 win and gave the Eagles the tight victory to conclude their trip to Hilton Head.
THe Eagles are back in action on March 12 at Neuman.Â
