BRIDGEWATER, Va. - The Bridgewater College men's lacrosse team fell 20-8 to #19 Washington and Lee Wednesday evening. The Eagles dropped to 2-3 in conference play this season.

How it Happened

After the beginning of the contest was pushed back due to inclement weather, the Generals got started with two goals in the first five minutes of action. Isaac Beals put the Eagles on the board with 8:38 left in the opening stanza on a dime from Luke Wendler. Beals found the back of the net again with 4:16 remaining to tie the game at two goals apiece. Washington and Lee scored once again, but Jake Wagner responded with two minutes left in the quarter to send the Eagles into the first break tied with a nationally ranked foe.

The Generals floored the gas pedal to start the second period, as they went on a 3-0 run in the opening two minutes of game action. Tristan Lee and Beals scored over the next four minutes to bridge the gap to one. W&L followed with a goal, but Wagner scored his second goal of the evening with 3:45 left in the half to put the Eagles down one. The Generals notched a final goal with 2:35 left in the quarter, sending the Eagles to the locker room trailing 8-6.
