LOUISVILLE, Ky. -
Caroline Malandra and
Mackenzie Cauthorn were both named to the NFCA Region VI All-Region teams.
Malandra was named to the first team at second base, while Cauthorn was named to the second team as a pitcher.
The junior from the Keystone State, Malandra, paced the Eagles offense with a .387 batting average and 33 RBI in 2026. The junior was among the ODAC leaders across the board offensively, including ranking on the podium in doubles, homers, slugging, triples and total bases. Malandra was also a threat on the bases, too, as she swiped a team-high 20 bags to rank seventh in program history in a single season.
Cauthorn rewrote the program record book in her senior season. The Tappahannock, Va. native set the program record for single-season (149), single-game (15 vs EMU) and career strikeouts (394) in 2026. Her senior campaign saw her lead the ODAC in innings pitched with 158.0, to also set a program record. A member of the ODAC All-Tournament team, Cauthorn was a key piece of the Eagles run to the ODAC Championship series as she appeared in all five games in the circle, including limiting No. 1 VWU to their lowest amount of runs scored this season.
The Eagles finished 2026 with a run to the ODAC Championship Series for the first time since 2012. BC tallied 29 wins for the second-straight season and earned multiple All-Region honrorees for the first time since 2023.
