The Eagles headed to the ninth for the late-game rally attempt. Bryce Suters shot a single up the middle to get the frame going. Trent Holland followed suit lining a single to left field. Nick Stavros cracked another single to bring in Suters. Jakson Walter then bolted down the first base path to beat out the throw from second to score in a second run and trim the deficit to one run. The pitching closed down the last final effort to slip by for the win.
