MADISON, N.J. - The Bridgewater College field hockey team rolled past FDU-Florham 6-0 on Saturday afternoon in New Jersey.

How It Happened
- Bridgewater had the game's first scoring chance three minutes into the contest as Lexi Francis rifled a shot that was turned away. BC kept pushing as Kiley Parker and Mollie Best each had shots that did not make it on target. The Eagles finally cashed in on a penalty corner as Mollie Best ripped a shot that was turned away, but Parker buried the rebound to give the Eagles a 1-0 lead. The Devils had a chance of their own in the final minute, earning a penalty corner that mustered no shots.
- The Devils kept pushing as they fired their first shot on frame that was stopped by Rachel Adel. BC flipped the field, leading to a Francis rip on frame that was saved. Fallon Dismukes added to the lead 30 seconds later as she ripped a shot to the back of the net, making it 2-0 two minutes into the frame. BC wasn't done there as Francis finally broke through with another insurance goal on her third shot of the first half to make it 3-0. Shortly after, BC padded the lead with a penalty corner success. Olivia Ohleger fired a shot past the goalkeeper on a dish from Emily Dickinson to make it 4-0 with over six minutes to play until the break. The home team made a change between the pipes, and the Eagles kept rolling. Dickinson rifled a pair of shots that were turned aside, and M. Best had her shot turned away just before the horn as BC took a 4-0 lead into the break.
- BC added to the advantage four minutes into the second half as Parker ripped a shot that was saved and corralled the rebound before firing it home to make it a 5-0 lead. The Devils had a scoring opportunity a few moments later, but Thaleia Khader stood tall to keep the shutout going. The home team kept pushing, but it was a shot by Sara Lesnik a few moments later that broke through. Lesnik's shot found its way to the back of the net to make it 6-0 BC with five minutes to go in the period. FDU-Florham had an advantage after a BC green card, but failed to cash in.
- The home side opened the fourth quarter with a shot that was blocked. BC looked to add on as Maylynn Watson ripped a shot that was saved by the Devils. FDU-Florham had another opportunity in the final minutes, but another save by Khader kept the shutout going. BC had one final push in the last minute of the contest, but a pair of Devils' saves kept it a 6-0 score at the buzzer.
Game Notes
- Parker led BC with a pair of goals. She, M. Best and Francis tied with a team-high three shots on frame in the win. Adel and Khader combined for their second shutout in as many contests. Adel made one save, while Khader made a pair in the second half.
- Lampalone led the Devils with three shots. All three FDU-Florham goalies made three saves or more in the loss.
- Bridgewater dominated the stat sheet with a sizable 21-9 edge in shots and a 17-3 advantage in shots on target.
