BRIDGEWATER, Va – The Bridgewater College women's soccer team caught fire in the second half to shutout Marymount Saturday afternoon

How it Happened
- Bridgewater had no shortage of shots in the first half, leading the shot race 10-3 during the first half of play.
- Scoring would come in the second half of play with a goal from Laura Narby on the left wing. Moments later Lily Hewatt notched her second career goal off an assist from Brianna Curro and Narby.
- After a scuffle in the box Cassandra Villafan tallied a goal of her own after being placed in scoring position by Grace Minton. In the 79th minute CJ Sipling found the back of the net from distance recording her first tally of the season.
- Erinn Lockard would leave Rylee Asiello to finish out the match in goal during the 81st minute of play leaving the Saints scoreless and earning a clean sheet in today's game.
Match Notes
- Hewatt recorded her second career goal today, also being her second of the week.
- Mara Dufour had six saves during her 90 minutes in goal for the Saints.
- Bridgewater begins their home schedule undefeated and leaving opposing teams scoreless on their home turf.
