How it Happened 

• Play started quickly as the Eagles offense had two corner kicks from Cassandra Villafan within the first three minutes of play. The tide shifted as UMW followed up with a corner kick of their own being placed into the box perfectly, for a shot from Baltzelle to be saved by Erinn Lockard in the net. During the 22nd and 41st minutes Lockard rejected four more shots from the UMW offense.
• In the 34th minute Laura Narby took the Eagles' first and only shot of the half, being blocked by UMW.
• As the match entered the second half, Bridgewater showed the same cast of characters that started the first half of play. Brianna Curro got the Eagles firing with a shot that went over top of the frame. Minutes later BC put up their next two shots of the contest, both being blocked. Lockard continued to be a wall for the Eagles, saving four more shots in the second half of play.
• The lone goal of the contest came from Narby in the 81st minute of play. Following a foul in the box, Narby found the back of the net on a penalty kick, giving the Eagles the edge over a highly ranked Mary Washington team.
