Bridgewater College field hockey head coach Emily Bagby has announced the addition of Brisa Uviedo to the staff as an assistant coach.
"We're extremely excited to welcome Brisa into our program! Brisa is bringing in strong relationship building, a wealth of field hockey knowledge, and passion for the sport," Bagby said.
Uviedo comes to Bridgewater with prior stints at Allegheny College, USA Field Hockey, Nova Xtreme, and South County High School. At Allegheny, Uviedo created fun and competitive training programs for all players, ran social media content, and helped with recruiting needs as an assistant coach. Prior to Allegheny, the field hockey extraordinaire took on the role of Regional Assistant Field Hockey Coach while being tasked with training programs, drill instructions, and analyzing performances.
Uviedo became the club coach at Nova Xtreme back in 2022, mentoring players and implementing practice plans. At South County High School, Uviedo spent time as the Head JV Field Hockey Coach.
In December 2023, Uviedo graduated from Mount Olive with a degree in exercise science. At Mount Olive, Uviedo was a Division II student athlete.
In addition to a strong field hockey background, Uviedo has been a member of the Argentina Women's Lacrosse National team since the summer of 2022. Uviedo was a starter in the first appearance in the Women's Lacrosse World Championship.
