In 2017, JD Shaw enters his sixth season as the Eagles' offensive coordinator. He is also the team's recruiting coordinator.

Tight end Keith Jennings repeated as an All-Region and first team All-State honoree in 2016, while the Eagles offense had five All-ODAC selections overall.

The Eagles' 2015 offense included Academic All-American, ODAC Scholar Athlete and Campbell Trophy national semifinalist Sean Douglass at center and D3football.com All-Region choice Keith Jennings at tight end. Both were first team All-State selections.

The Eagles went 8-2 in 2014 and scored 31.0 points per game. Running back Jacob Wright earned D3football.com All-Region and first team All-State honors, while three other offensive players garnered All-State recognition.

Bridgewater averaged 390.3 yards per game in 2013, third-best in the ODAC. Center Sean Douglass was featured on the All-State team.

Bridgewater was 7-3 in Shaw's first season running the offense (2012), and had two offensive linemen earn All-State honors.

Prior to his time with the Eagles, Shaw, a 1993 West Virginia University graduate, was at the helm of the Averett offense from 2002-2011.

With Shaw guiding the offense, Averett passed for 17,583 yards and 139 touchdowns and rushed for 16,701 yards and 159 scores. The Cougars' offense averaged more than 31 points a game from 2003-06. In 2006, Averett earned a share of the USA South Conference championship.

During his time at Averett, Shaw coached more than 50 USA South All-Conference selections on offense, and helped more than 100 football student-athletes earn USA South Academic All-Conference honors.

Shaw also spent seven seasons at Waynesburg College as offensive coordinator/QB coach, and served as recruiting coordinator for all sports. Waynesburg won a share of the 1998 President's Athletic Conference championship, the first conference title in program history.
