After the season, Reynolds was a finalist for the Willie Lanier Award, which is awarded annually by the Richmond Touchdown Club to the best small college football player in Virginia. In addition, he received preseason All-America laurels from USA Football Network and BSN before the 2013 season.

In addition to coaching, Reynolds Jr started "Real Talk Sundays" in 2020, which is an open discussion on life and the issues around the world today. He also created and is a co-instructor for The Course Mind Body and Soul, which teaches self-motivation.
