Warner Hunter

Former BC fullback Warner Hunter was hired as a graduate assistant in 2018. Along with coaching the running backs, he is attending James Madison University in their Graduate program for Sports Management.

Bridgewater football returned to the NCAA tournament in 2019, going 10-1 and clinching the ODAC championship at home vs. Randolph-Macon. The Eagles hosted a first round tournament game and were ranked #20 in the postseason polls. Junior back Demetreus Jalapes was a second team All-ODAC and All-State selection.

The Eagles ranked fifth nationally in Division III in red zone offense (.943) in 2018, while averaging 33.6 points and 222 yards rushing per game in conference play.

Hunter served as a student assistant with Bridgewater in 2017 while completing his undergraduate degree.

He appeared in 31 games over four seasons for the Eagles, starting at fullback as a junior and senior. He rushed for 52 yards and a touchdown, while also catching one TD pass.
