Hunter Bagby rejoined the men's lacrosse program as a volunteer assistant coach in 2021.

Bridgewater reached the ODAC semifinals for the first time ever in 2021, beating Roanoke in the first round of the playoffs. The Eagles had an All-American for the third straight year (attack Eric Husselbaugh), their first USILA Senior All-Star Game participant (midfielder Justin Calabrese) and earned six total selections to the All-ODAC squad.

Bagby was the team's starting goalie in 2019, leading Bridgewater to its second ODAC playoff appearance.

He went 13-5 with a save percentage of 54.5, a GAA of 11.50 and 214 saves as a senior, setting single-season school records for victories and saves. He stopped 23 shots in a 14-13 upset win over Hampden-Sydney.
