Maria Brown joined the Eagles' women's basketball staff as a volunteer assistant in 2021.

Brown previously coached with Averett University. She was a member of a Pace University women's basketball team that made back-to-back Division II NCAA Tournament appearances, after playing two seasons at the University of Maryland at Baltimore County.

Following the completion of her college career, Brown played professional basketball in South Korea for the Kumho Life Redwings from 2006-2009.

Brown earned her bachelor of science degree in biology from Pace in 2006.
