Box Score LEXINGTON, Va. - Sophomore Allison Carr netted
her second career goal in the second half to knot the game at one,
but in overtime the Rhodes Lynx found the back of the net first, as
the Bridgewater Eagles (7-8) fell by a 2-1 score to Rhodes
(8-2) at Washington & Lee in out of conference action.
Rhodes got on the board first with a Sarah Ferguson goal to give
the Lynx a 1-0 lead, which is where the game would stand until
halftime.
Carr then netted the equalizer with 18 and change to play,
putting the game at 1-1.
Both teams would have chances to end the game in regulation, but
the game eventually headed to overtime where the Lynx netted the
game winner just over three minutes into the extra session to take
down the Eagles by a 2-1 score.
Rhodes outshot the Eagles by a 17-13 tally, and held a 9-5
advantage in corners.
Senior Elizabeth Sullivan picked up the loss for BC, playing all
73:36 in the cage.
Bridgewater is back in action on Thursday, Oct. 22 when the team
hosts Shenandoah for the home season finale at 4:00 p.m.
