EMORY, Va. - Emory & Henry scored what proved to be the
winning goal in the 65th minute Saturday to edge the Bridgewater
College Eagles, 3-2, in ODAC men's soccer action.
The Wasps held a 1-0 lead at the half on a goal by PJ Henson and
a goal by Erik Olson extended the E&H lead to 2-0 early in the
second half.
Bridgewater got on the board at the 53:31 mark when Chris Husle
scored off an assist from Ryan Morgan to cut the Wasps lead to 2-1.
The Eagles tied the scored at the 61:27 mark when Ryan
Tavernaris scored with Morgan once again providing the assist.
Less than three minutes later, however, Henson scored the
game-winning goal for the Wasps.
The Eagles are now 1-15-1 overall and 0-8-1 in the ODAC.
Bridgewater will close out its season Tuesday when the Eagles
host Washington and Lee. Game time is 4:00 p.m.
