Softball improves record to 6-0

Bridgewater picked up two more wins Tuesday at Myrtle Beach to improve to 6-0 on the season. BC defeated Division II Seton Hill, 3-2, and then blanked N.C. Wesleyan, 6-0.

In the opener, Lindsay Lam pitched a complete game to lead the Eagles past Seton Hill. Lam allowed six and two earned runs. She struck out five and walked four.

Angela Spinelli drove in two runs for the Eagles and Drew Rutledge picked up a pair of hits to lead the offense.

In the second game, Ashley Gills her second shutout of the season in two starts. Gills allowed just three hits while striking out four and walking two.

Lauren Childress led the Eagles at the plate with a 3-for-3 effort and three RBIs. Hillary Rees was 2-for-4 and Elizabeth Smith belted a homer.
