trip to Emory & Henry on Saturday and the Eagles battled their
way to the win in three straight. The Eagles won by scores of
26-24, 25-17, 28-26.
"It's always good to go on the road and beat a good team,"
Bridgewater head coach Greg Spector said. "We played a good match
today. It was nice to feel like you were in control."
Three Eagles reached double figures in kills with Ashley Scott
(South Riding, Va./Heritage) leading the way with 16. Katie Baker
(Strasburg, Va./Strasburg) added 13 kills and Cadie
Castle (Mineral, Va./Louisa County)
finished with 10.

"Katie Baker was huge in the first set," Spector said. "She had
eight kills and a couple of blocks and she kept us alive until the
rest of us woke up."
Spector was also pleased with the team's fight and composure in
the third game when they rallied from a 24-22 deficit to win
28-26.
"It was nice to see them dig down and find something extra,"
Spector said. "We kept fighting when we were behind and then when
we got the opppotunity to put them away we did."
With the victory, the Eagles improved to 3-6 in the ODAC and
14-13 overall. The Eagles close out their conference schedule on
Tuesday when they host Randolph College.
"We're looking to finish up 4-6 in the conference and keep
improving as we move closer to the conference tournament," Spector
said.
