BRIDGEWATER, Va. - Roanoke College scored two goals in the first three minutes of action Wednesday afternoon and were never threatened the rest of the way in a 5-0 victory over the Bridgewater College Eagles.

Roanoke wasted little time getting on the board when Michael Stark headed the ball into the back of the net off Jason Ryan's corner at the 1:42 mark.

The Maroons struck again at the 2:52 mark when Cameron Travalini scored off an assist from Carl Leist for a 2-0 lead.

Johnny Hughes added a goal off an assist from Stark to give the Maroons a 3-0 lead at the break.

The Eagles, now 2-7-2 overall and 1-2-2 in the ODAC, return to action Saturday when they travel to Lynchburg to meet the conference-leading Hornets. Game time is 4:00 p.m.

Roanoke, second in the ODAC standings, improved to 10-3 overall and 4-1 in the conference.
