FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – On the second day of the ITA Regional Championships the doubles duo of Brent Floyd and Tim Goetz claimed the title in the B2 Doubles bracket before the tandem of Mike Cable and Sam Churchill posted a 6-4 victory in the B3 Doubles division to pace the way for the Bridgewater Eagles men's tennis team.

Floyd and Goetz cruised in their three matches on the day, which were all shortened and moved inside due to  weather. The duo claimed a 6-4 victory in quarterfinal play, before picking up an easy 6-1 win in the semifinals to book a trip to the championship. In the final match of the day, they posted a 6-2 win to claim the title in the B2 doubles division.

Cable and Churchill had an easy time of things in the quarterfinals and semifinals as both opponents forfeited to book the freshman tandem a trip to the finals. In the championship matchup, the duo claimed a 6-4 victory to post the team's second title of the tournament.

Switching to singles action, freshman Christian Lynn posted a split day in the B2 division. Lynn posted an 8-5 victory in the consolation quarterfinals to advance to the semifinal round. Lynn fell in the consolation semis by an 8-6 tally in a tight matchup to finish 1-2 on the weekend.

In B3 singles action, Floyd reached the consolation finals with a pair of wins on the day. The senior claimed an 8-4 win in the consolation quarterfinals before picking up a tight 9-7 win in the semifinals to book a trip to the consolation finals.

Churchill also competed in the B4 singles bracket, dropping his lone match of the day by a tight 8-6 score in the consolation quarterfinals to wrap up an 0-2 weekend.

The Eagles will be back in action during the Spring when they open the dual match season.
